Passivhaus - Highly Commended

The 2012 RICS East Midlands awards were held on Thursday 19th April at the Belfry Hotel in Nottingham.   Raynsway Properties and Interserve’s new Passivhaus building on Watermead Business Park received certification in the Design and Innovation category as “Highly Commended” for the state of the art construction.

The awards known locally as the East Midlands property “Oscars” played host to 36 of the regions most impressive projects.   The awards aim to celebrate “inspirational initiatives” in the land, property and construction sectors of the industry.  Entries were submitted from all over the region including Nottingham, Leicester, Lincoln, Northampton and Derby.

Tom Watkinson and the Passivhaus Conference

November 2012 saw the Passivhaus Conference take place at the Nottingham University.  The two day event offered a comprehensive review of the Passivhaus phenomena currently sweeping across the construction industry.   The conference covered key themes such as planning, procurement, costs and benefits including many other aspects of Passivhaus constructions for residential, non-domestic and refurbishment projects.    ...more
