Tom Watkinson Meets Passivhaus Pioneer at Eco Build

Tom Watkinson, Managing Director of Raynsway finally met the man behind the successful building construction technique of Passivhaus during his visit to London’s Eco Build on Wednesday 21 March 2012.

Passivhaus was developed in Germany in the early 1990’s by Professor Bo Adamson of Sweden and Professor Wolfgang Feist of Germany (pictured with our Tom Watkinson).  

Passivhaus is the fastest growing energy performance standard with more than 30,000 buildings now being accredited around the world to the strict Passivhaus Standard

The Green Apple Awards

Raynsway’s Passivhaus building situated at Watermead Business Park were recently presented with a Green Apple Environment Award.   The Award was presented at the House of Commons on the 12th November 2012 during a carbon-neutral presentation ceremony.

Tom Watkinson and the Passivhaus Conference

November 2012 saw the Passivhaus Conference take place at the Nottingham University.  The two day event offered a comprehensive review of the Passivhaus phenomena currently sweeping across the construction industry.   The conference covered key themes such as planning, procurement, costs and benefits including many other aspects of Passivhaus constructions for residential, non-domestic and refurbishment projects.    ...more
