DRIVER WORKSHOPS PULL UP AT BRIDGE PARK
Commercial property developer, Raynsway Properties, has welcomed the arrival of Leicestershire County Council Driver Education Workshops to a unit at its Bridge Business Park in Thurmaston.
Commercial property developer, Raynsway Properties, has welcomed the arrival of Leicestershire County Council Driver Education Workshops to a unit at its Bridge Business Park in Thurmaston.
The Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland Safety Camera Scheme, which runs separate workshops on both speed and traffic light awareness, has recently moved into Unit 20 at the office development off Melton Road, having previously been based at The Half Croft in Syston. It employs six office-based staff and a number of self employed workshop presenters.
The workshops are an educational alternative to the fine and penalty points normally given for committing a traffic offence but are offered only to those with low-level offences. They take place three times a day Monday to Thursday and twice on a Friday and are designed to encourage people to think about why people speed, how to recognise speed limits in different areas and the implications of speeding and going through a red traffic light.
Sailesh Morjaria, Driver Education Workshop manager comments, “We are delighted with our new premises at Bridge Business Park following the expiry of the building lease at our previous office location. It is a fully refurbished unit, perfect for our needs and with a large on-site car park. The team at Raynsway has been very helpful to us throughout the whole process.”
Tom Watkinson, Managing Director of Raynsway Properties, says, “We are very pleased with Leicestershire County Council’s decision to relocate these important workshops to Bridge Business Park. The site’s location is easily accessible for all its visitors and we hope the lessons learnt from these sessions will increase safety on the county’s roads.”
